How to check your wiper blades

Driving with failing wiper blades is extremely dangerous in bad weather, so don’t wait for them to start streaking, chattering, or making noises before thinking of replacing them. Before the rainy season, remember to check them for damage: 

1. Lift the wiper arm from the windshield until it locks in the upright position.
2. Use a clean cloth dipped in washer fluid and wipe the edge of the blade.
3. Run your finger along the edge of the rubber blade. If there are cracks or splits, it’s time for a replacement.
